On Saturday, they went up against #12-ranked Grand Valley and swept them 3-0. This
weekend, Ferris has two more home games, facing Northern Michigan on Friday and Michigan
Tech on Saturday. Both teams are tough competitors, so Ferris will need to work hard to keep
their winning streak going. In record-breaking news, Senior Setter Kaylee Maat sets two Ferris
all-time records, reaching 5,320 assists and 230 career aces!

Soccer Split

Our host sits down with Ferris Soccer Head Coach Greg Henson on the games they played over the weekend and how they are going to secure a home field advantage in the playoffs. First the coach talks about Ferris’ game at SVSU. Greg mentions how Ferris did very well in the first half but in the second half SVSU came back strong with the Final Score being 1-4 in favor of SVSU.

But on Sundays game against Roosevelt, Ferris scored a their first goal in the first 30 seconds, then went on to score 6 more throughout the game. Greg mentions how most of those goals were scored by players who hadn’t scored a goal yet in this season or even in their college career. Ferris took the win in that game, 7-0.

To wrap up Greg talks about their plan for the upcoming games this week and how they are going to keep the ball rolling. Ferris will be playing Wisconsin-Parkside on November 7th, and on November 9th they will play Purdue Northwest to wrap up the regular season.

Football Shakes Northern

Rob is joined by the assistant coach of the football team, Grant Caserta. They talk about how nice it will be with the last two games of the season being at home after being away for the last few games. The team just got back from Northern Michigan University as they played in the Superior Dome, and Caserta mentions how traveling there is always a good experience as the atmosphere is great and it’s nice to see the reactions of the players who have never seen the Dome. Caserta and Bentley focus on the highlights from that game but also touch on the things that went well. They had a defensive touchdown at the beginning of the game that got the Bulldogs rolling. At halftime, it was 27-2 and by the end, the final score was 55-9 with the Bulldogs on top.
