On this week of Ferris Sports Update, Rob Bentley is joined by Ferris Hockey Head Coach Bob Daniels, Women’s Basketball Assistant Coach La’Karis Salter, and Men’s Basketball Head Coach Andy Bronkema.

Welcome back to another episode of Ferris Sports Update! This week our host Rob Bentley is joined by three esteemed Ferris State athletic staff. Bentley is first joined by Kurt Westendorp, head coach of women’s basketball. They go on to highlight this past weekend’s games against Wayne State and Saginaw Valley. Bentley is then joined by Andy Bronkema, head coach of men’s basketball. The Bulldogs came away with two victories against Wayne State and Saginaw Valley this past weekend. To close out the show Bentley is met with Dave Cencer, the assistant coach for bulldog hockey. The Bulldogs faced off against the Bemidji State Beavers in some very intense games on the ice.

On today’s episode, our host Rob Bentley is joined by the assistant coach of our football team, Tesfa Smith and they discussed the signing day they had this week for Ferris State. Next, Bentley is joined by the coach of our women’s basketball team, Kurt Westendorp, and they discuss the highlights of the game against Lake Superior State. Lastly, we are joined by the assistant coach of our men’s basketball team, Josh Fleming. They discuss the highlights of the game against the Lakers and how the team is preparing for their upcoming games next week against Wayne State on Saturday and Saginaw Valley on Thursday.

On this episode of Ferris Sports Update, host Rob Bentley chats with Women’s Basketball coach Kurt Westendorp about the team’s recent road matchups with Wayne State and Saginaw Valley State. Coach Westendorp also discusses their next two games at home this weekend against Northern Michigan this coming Thursday, and Michigan Tech the following Saturday. Next, Rob talks with assistant Men’s Basketball coach Josh Fleming about the team’s road games against Wayne State and Saginaw Valley State. Fleming also talks about next weekend’s home series against Northern Michigan on Thursday, noted as an important one by coach Fleming, as well as their matchup with Michigan Tech on Saturday. Lastly, Rob talks with Stepan Pokorny, one of the seniors and captains on the hockey team. Pokorny talks about the team’s road series last weekend at Augustana, which was the first ever matchup between the two teams. Pokorny also discusses the team’s series at home next weekend against Bowling Green, who Pokorny describes as the Bulldogs’ chief rival within the conference. Pokorny also reflects on his time as a Bulldog as the regular season nears it’s end.
