What’s Happening?
Joker: Folie à Deux
On the first segment of Ferris Out Loud this week, Ryan Peon is joined by several students to talk about new movies and games. The new Joker movie is the starting topic, and the guests discuss the reception of the recent film. The opinions on the film in the room ranged from both great to awful.

Our guests also touch on the new Call of Duty Black Ops 6, a first person shooter video game releasing later this week. They talk on the changes the franchise has had over the years and why they are especially excited for this years release.
Spirit Christmas

Our hosts then discuss Spirit Halloween, which is suddenly getting into the holiday mood with their new plans to open Spirit Christmas locations. While these will be like the popup Spirit Halloween stores, even replacing some during the holiday season, Ryan points out that this would be somewhat like the year round “Bronner’s Christmas Wonderland” store located in Frankenmuth or even your average Walmart. While there are many questions the hosts have one stands above the rest, how do they plan to cover up the rubber mask smell?
Debate
For this week’s debate topics there is no theme, just some random things like “Party Night vs. Bonfire Night,” “Baseball vs. Football,” “Nike vs. Adidas,” and “Gatorade vs. Powerade.” Each of these topics sparked good discussions like Cam picking party night over bonfire night due to asthma, Ryan disliking Nike for quality issues, or the hosts agreeing that most places that have Powerade just don’t have the money for Gatorade.
Game Time

Also, on this week’s Ferris Out Loud was “Game Time.” Our hosts had a blast diving into the world of tongue twisters! The laughter was infectious as our hosts and guests tackled some of the most challenging and complex phrases. It was a lighthearted reminder of how fun it can be to stumble over our words, all in good spirit!
Host Recommendations

Alongside our tongue-twisting antics, our hosts shared some fantastic recommendations to keep your week exciting. Here’s what they suggested: Cam kicked things off with a recommendation for Pokémon Unite. He emphasized how much fun the game can be, especially when you’re playing with friends. Whether you’re a seasoned player or new to the Pokémon universe, it’s a great way to unwind and strategize together. Da’Shanya brought a different flavor to the table with her suggestion of learning a new language. Not only does it expand your skill set, but it also opens doors to connect with friends and explore different cultures. Plus, it’s a rewarding experience that can enhance your cognitive abilities! Ryan shared his excitement for attending a Ferris State hockey game. He encouraged everyone to check it out and enjoy the thrilling atmosphere. There’s nothing quite like the energy of a live game, and it’s a perfect way to support our local teams. Sara rounded out the recommendations with a fun tip to learn to play the ukulele. She noted that it’s a more approachable instrument compared to the guitar, making it a great starting point for those who might feel intimidated. Plus, strumming along to your favorite tunes can be a joyful experience!
What a beautiful performance from Sara! In this episode of Ferris Out Loud, the crew discussed pure excitment and pure disappointments in the world at the minute before a playful debate, a bundle of tongue twisters, and personal interests.
