What’s Trending?
We kicked things off by discussing an intriguing new discovery about hidden chambers beneath the Great Pyramids of Giza. Torin, our resident expert on all things Egyptian, was particularly fascinated by the headline. The group quickly found themselves wondering how scientists know so much about these chambers, especially when much of the evidence is based on 3D graphics. This led to a deeper conversation about the intersection of history, technology, and the potential mysteries still hidden under the pyramids.

March Madness & A Student Manager’s Rise to Fame
The conversation shifted to the exciting world of college basketball, with Rockne sharing the inspiring story of Amir Khan, the student manager for McNeese Basketball. Despite McNeese’s early exit from March Madness, their shocking victory over Clemson was a huge highlight. Khan, who made history as the first student manager to land major endorsement deals, including one with Buffalo Wild Wings, has become a fan favorite. The McNeese student body even took their admiration a step further by putting Khan’s face on socks. It’s a wild level of fandom, and a sign of the times.

Theater Talk: A Midsummer Night’s Dream at Ferris State
Kayla provided an update on Ferris State Theater’s Spring play, A Midsummer Night’s Dream. While she can’t attend due to scheduling conflicts, she strongly recommended the performance. Torin and Rockne, however, weren’t quite as impressed by the production’s visual effects in the promotional poster, calling them a bit too flashy. On the other hand, Harmony and Kayla defended the dreamlike aesthetic, arguing that it was a deliberate choice to reflect the spring-like atmosphere of the play. Whether or not the visuals hit the mark remains a topic for discussion.
Spring Concert: NLE Choppa Comes to Ferris State!
With the Spring Concert just around the corner, Kayla shared her excitement about NLE Choppa’s performance at Ferris State on April 7th. While Kayla is confident the event will be high-energy, Torin raised the question of what the vibe would be like: would the audience be sitting back and enjoying the music, or would it turn into a more rowdy, energetic crowd? Regardless, Kayla’s anticipation for the concert was clear—she’s expecting nothing less than a thrilling, lively show.
This or That?
The crew then engaged in a fun round of This or That? where they debated various preferences. From the type of concert venue (indoor or outdoor) to the size of the crowd (small vs. large) and whether box seats are better than standing in the pit, the group had differing opinions on nearly every question. The conversation was lively, with each member offering their own take on what makes an event great.
Guess the Song
Next up, the group played a game of “Guess the Song” using only emojis. Some combinations were easy to figure out, while others had them scratching their heads. From timeless classics like “Piano Man” by Billy Joel to newer tracks like “Good Luck, Babe” by Chappell Roan, the game was full of unexpected challenges and a lot of laughs.

Did You Know?
To wrap things up, the group delved into some fascinating facts about music and theater. Kayla shared the story of Rod Stewart’s concert at Copacabana, which remains the largest concert ever held. Harmony talked about Live Aid and the impressive $52 million raised during the event. Rockne then highlighted the Monsters of Rock festival and its historical significance with the Soviet Union. Torin finished the segment with a fun fact about Mousetrap, the longest-running play in the world, which recently celebrated its 30,000th performance.
