What’s Trending?
On “Ferris Out Loud”, host Ryan Pilon, Da’Shanya Williams, Sara Keilman, and guest Maksymilian Sidorowicz discuss trending topics like MrBeast’s legal troubles and the iPhone 16. Maksymilian admires MrBeast’s content but criticizes rumors about the poor treatment of guests, while Da’Shanya and Sara, who once appreciated his philanthropy, now share their concerns. Ryan explains the lawsuit involving false advertising and serious allegations against MrBeast. They also discuss Lunchly, his new product with Logan Paul, which is criticized for targeting kids when it has artificial cheese. The panel questions marketing tactics for products aimed at children.
Transitioning to the iPhone 16, Maksymilian and Sara praise its camera but dislike constant updates, while Da’Shanya, an Android user, is curious about a rumored Siri update for discreet responses. The group agrees on their discomfort with technology’s invasive listening.
Debate
During the debate segment, they started by asking Disney or Nickelodeon. The consensus was that Nickelodeon was better. Next, they moved on to Beach vs. pool. Maksymilian said it depends on what kind of pool. Sara likes the natural waves of the beach. Hot lunch vs. cold lunch sparked more debate, but the majority ended on hot lunch because of the variety. Movie Night vs. Game Night had some good debate. Da’Shanya was the lone movie night fan, and the others argued that getting a group to settle on one movie was too tough.
Game Time
Although there were conflicting thoughts on game night, the group played three rounds of Connect 4. Ryan and Da’Shanya were on team one and Maksymilian and Sara were on team two. Out of the three games, our overall winner was Team One with Da’Shanya and Ryan. After the game, they discussed their favorite games and talked about how UNO is a very universal game.
