Matcha Instead of Coffee
In the beginning of PR Dawgs, Dr. Patrick Bishop starts off by talking about the season of fall. Many people in the audience share what they think when they hear about the fall season. The topic switches to Halloween, as he shows the audience he was a Vampire for Halloween one year. In the main segment, Leilani Sigsbey talks about how she celebrates the fall season up in her home town, Traverse City. Leilani says she goes hiking and goes for coffee and donuts, however, instead of coffee she prefers matcha. She talks about the creation of matcha and how it is made and used. Leilani got into it because she took a sip of coffee when she was 12 years old and decided she didn’t like the bitter taste. She tried matcha instead, getting into her own culture, and giving her a boost for her day. Ever since then, that has been what she loves.
Isn’t it Ironica that Gibby plays the Harmonica?
Braden Gebbink, or Gibby, talks about his music career. He talks about playing dobro, which is similar to a guitar. He was inspired by an older man in a jam circle he was in to start playing. They talk about the similarities and differences between dobro and guitar in more depth. Braden is also skilled at playing the piano. He started with no knowledge of piano, and started his learning here at Ferris. He has also played harmonica since high school, and he plays for us in this episode!
